2025 WNC Parade of Homes Returns for Fall Showcase

The 44th Annual Western North Carolina Parade of Homes, hosted by the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains (BABRM), is set for the weekends of October 11-12 and 18-19, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. This year’s event will showcase a diverse lineup of homes across the region—in Asheville, Weaverville, Black Mountain, and beyond—available for touring both in person and virtually.

A Look Inside the Homes

The homes span a variety of styles, sizes, and price points, designed to appeal to every type of buyer and to highlight the creativity and craftsmanship of the mountain building community. Together they showcase many of today’s most sought-after construction trends, such as:

  • Designing the ultimate family retreat: Bear Flower Retreat in Arden by Buchanan Construction was built with togetherness in mind, featuring six bedrooms, a teenage lounge, theater, game room, wine cellar, and exercise room.
  • Celebrating traditional mountain craftsmanship: Nestled in Fletcher, Mountain Grove Pinnacle by Altitude Builders showcases majestic Douglas fir timber framing, locally sourced stone, and a covered porch with soaring 13-foot ceilings.
  • Building with sustainability at the forefront: Elk Wallow Gap by Mountain Sun Building & Design, located in Asheville, is both beautiful and environmentally friendly, with 1,600 square feet of covered outdoor living, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, a living roof, solar power, and energy-efficient systems.
  • Blending bold modern architecture with natural surroundings: Modern at Elevation by Sineath Construction is carefully integrated into the rugged terrain of Black Mountain, with expansive light-filled spaces framed by steel, glass, wood, and hand-laid river rock.
  • Bringing European elegance to the mountains: Highland Ridge Farm, built by Altamont Construction and located in Weaverville, brings French Countryside style to the Blue Ridge with finishes that feel timeless yet comfortably modern.
  • Pushing the boundaries of high-performance design: Raven House, built by Deltec Homes and located in Black Mountain, demonstrates the company’s modern approach to high-performance building, combining striking architecture with energy efficiency and a light-filled, contemporary aesthetic.

Building Back with Inspiration

This year’s showcase comes at a pivotal moment for Western North Carolina, as communities continue to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. For many, the Parade is not only a chance to explore dream homes but also to gather ideas for building back sustainably and resiliently in the face of future storms.

“The Parade is really about inspiration,” said Jimmy Penland, chair of the Builders Association’s Parade of Homes committee. “Whether you’re dreaming about your first home, planning a remodel, or just love seeing what’s possible in the mountains, you’ll find ideas and craftsmanship that spark your imagination, in person or online.”

Plan Your Parade Experience

Visitors are encouraged to pick up a free Parade of Homes magazine to plan their tour. Magazines will be available at member businesses throughout the region and at each home on the Parade. A map of magazine pickup locations will be posted on the Parade’s website.

Both the magazine and website will include detailed home descriptions, builder information, and floor plans. They will also provide a comprehensive Business Guide listing more than 1,200 area building professionals. Together, these resources make it easy for visitors to navigate the Parade and dive deeper into each category of homes featured this year.

The Showcase Homes feature an array of housing types across Western North Carolina, with most open for in-person tours during Parade weekends and a few available as virtual tours only. The Renewed Spaces section highlights the craftsmanship of remodeling professionals who bring new life to existing homes through beautiful, functional design (featured online only this year, with no in-person tours), while the Coming Soon category offers a preview of new homes currently in development.
