A major benefit of membership in the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains is access to numerous training and education opportunities. Many of them are free for members.
As a member, you and your employees can further your education on a wide range of topics within the building industry. BABRM offers various seminars and classes throughout the year on topics such as green building, tax and revenue, product demos, code updates, contracts and law, safety, marketing, and more. Many of the seminars and classes offered locally are at no cost to members.

Advanced Contractor Education
Participating in the Advanced Contractor Education (ACE) Program enhances technical and professional knowledge in the areas of new technology, business strategies, marketing techniques, effective management, and changing consumer demands.
- We also focus on recognizing industry professionals who advance their careers through professional development and higher education within the home building industry.
- We strive to offer free education that is accessible to all members.
North Carolina Builder Institute
BABRM members can set themselves apart by attaining accreditation through the North Carolina Builder Institute (NCBI). Courses of study include Accredited Builder (AB) or Accredited Master Builder (AMB), Accredited Remodeler (AR), Accredited Associate (AA) or Accredited Master Associate (AMA), or Accredited Residential Superintendent (ARS).

NAHB Courses & Designations
BABRM members can take their careers to the next level by successfully completing any of NAHB’s 13 professional designations in building, remodeling, green building, sales and marketing, and low-income housing tax credit. Members use these designations to boost their skill set and differentiate them to customers and employers.
