Each year, the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains (BABRM) kicks off Parade season with its annual Cover Auction & Featured Builder Raffle, where members compete for the most sought-after placements in the official WNC Parade of Homes Magazine. With more than 8,000 copies distributed throughout Western North Carolina each fall, the magazine gives builders and remodelers valuable exposure to homeowners and homebuyers across the region.
This year’s Front Cover Auction winner is Ward Enterprises. Led by Hunter Ward, the company takes a collaborative approach to custom homebuilding, working closely with clients to create homes that reflect their vision and lifestyle. Earlier this year, Ward was also recognized as BABRM’s 2025 Builder of the Year, an honor awarded by his peers for his contributions to the industry and the association.
The Back Cover Auction was won by Schumacher Homes, one of the nation’s largest custom homebuilders. Founded on the belief that homeowners shouldn’t have to compromise on design, the company has built more than 20,000 custom homes, giving families the flexibility to personalize everything from floor plans to finishes.
This year’s Featured Builder is WNC Built. Owned by U.S. Army veteran Brad Currin, the Asheville-based company specializes in residential remodeling, including kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovations, outdoor living spaces, and basement finishing.
As the 2026 Featured Builder, WNC Built will receive a premium two-page editorial feature near the front of the magazine. Rather than spotlighting a single project, the feature will share the company’s story, highlight its expertise, and introduce homeowners to the team behind the work.
“The Parade Magazine is often a homeowner’s first introduction to the incredible builders and remodelers who participate in the Parade,” says Jessie Edington, events manager for BABRM. “We’re excited to help showcase the winners’ work and share their stories with visitors from across the region.”
The 2026 WNC Parade of Homes will take place October 17-18 and October 24-25, giving visitors the opportunity to tour beautiful homes throughout Western North Carolina and connect with the builders, remodelers, and trade professionals behind them.
