Members and partners of the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains (BABRM) gathered June 5 at Cultivated Cocktails in Asheville for Casino Night, one of the association’s most-anticipated events of the year.
Guests embraced the “AsheVegas Chic” dress code with creative flair (think fringe, flannel, and lots of sparkles) while trying their luck at classic casino games like poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps. Play money kept the stakes fun and friendly, and a raffle featuring locally curated prizes brought the night to an exciting close.
More than just an evening of entertainment, Casino Night created the opportunity for valuable networking. Professionals from all corners of the building industry—builders, architects, designers, real estate professionals, and lenders—nurtured connections that will fuel future projects.
“Events like these are really good because it gives us an opportunity to meet with our association members and create relationships,” said Nick Scroggs of Scroggs Construction Services, this year’s BABRM president.
BABRM Executive Officer Megan Carroll echoed the importance of connection.
“We see events like this as an investment in the relationships that strengthen our industry,” she said. “When people from different sectors of our industry come together, it can lead to collaboration and deep friendships.”
That spirit of camaraderie wasn’t lost on Olivia McDaniel, interior designer and sales associate with Carpet One Floor & Home in Asheville. “It’s great for gambling and having lots of fun,” she said of the event.
