We are thrilled to announce that Sarah Cosgrove, an area leader on housing issues, has joined BABRM as our Advocacy & Community Engagement Director.
In the new role, Sarah will work with builders, area governments, and like-minded professionals and nonprofit organizations to facilitate projects that address Western North Carolina’s housing crisis.
This will involve everything from working with local governments on zoning rule changes to deepening relationships with nonprofits that address affordability and sustainability.
Sarah has been deeply involved in area housing issues on several levels. She previously served as chair of BABRM’s government relations committee. She is also on the City of Hendersonville’s Affordable Housing Steering Committee, which is exploring ways to address the city’s affordability challenges.
Prior to joining us, Sarah ran day-to-day operations in her role as co-owner of Grove Manor Flooring in Flat Rock. She will ease out of her highly successful business, Grove Manor Flooring, which is now run by Steve Cosgrove. The business is growing its staff and continuing to carry its core values, to ensure that the business doesn’t miss a beat.
“I look forward to helping the Builders Association in its important work,” Sarah said. “We can only address our area’s challenges and capitalize on opportunities if we work together, and this role is built around that concept.”
