People visiting the WNC Build & Remodel Expo on June 22-23 found all types of services on display, from traditional remodeling, painting and building to some services you might not have known even existed.
A highly engaged crowd visited the 70 booths at the Davis Event Center, part of the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher. The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains hosted the event, now in its 13th year, after a two-year hiatus.
Visitors got information from companies offering all kinds of products and services, whether you wanted to replace your shelving, get a greenhouse, replace your deck, or update your kitchen.
The Expo, which was sponsored by Sugar Hollow Solar, WNC Chimney Solutions and Builders FirstSource, also featured a number of engaging in-person presentations.
As two examples: Rick Bayless of A Healthier Home talked about “Best Homeowner Projects for Home Healthiness Under $1K.” Jonathan Gach of The Building Science Detectives presented “Energy Audits: The Ultimate Home Check-Up for Comfort, Safety, and Savings.”
“We were impressed with the high level of interest shown by the attendees, and our vendors got a number of good leads for business,” said Jay Cope of Semper Fi Custom Remodeling, this year’s president of the Builders Association. “The expo’s success shows how people in Western North Carolina want to make their homes better.”
