Advanced Contractor Education


Participating in the Advanced Contractor Education (ACE) Program enhances technical and professional knowledge in the areas of new technology, business strategies, marketing techniques, effective management, and changing consumer demands.

  • We also focus on recognizing industry professionals who advance their careers through professional development and higher education within the home building industry.
  • We strive to offer free education that is accessible to all members.

The ACE Program relies on knowledgeable professionals to deliver practical, real-world education to our members. If you’re interested in presenting in 2026, we encourage you to submit a proposal for consideration.

North Carolina Builder Institute

BABRM members can set themselves apart by attaining accreditation through the North Carolina Builder Institute (NCBI). Courses of study include Accredited Builder (AB) or Accredited Master Builder (AMB), Accredited Remodeler (AR), Accredited Associate (AA) or Accredited Master Associate (AMA), or Accredited Residential Superintendent (ARS).

NAHB Courses & Designations


BABRM members can take their careers to the next level by successfully completing any of NAHB’s 13 professional designations in building, remodeling, green building, sales and marketing, and low-income housing tax credit. Members use these designations to boost their skill set and differentiate them to customers and employers.
