Strengthening Community Connections After Hurricane Helene
In the wake of Hurricane Helene, coming together as a community has been more important than ever.
Our building industry community came out in force for the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ second Local Industry Night of the year on October 23 at the Airport Design Center in Fletcher.
The event was attended by over 200 people – everyone, from builders and developers to leaders in fields such as electrical, plumbing, lighting, and construction.
The event wasn’t limited to BABRM members, though. A wide range of other organizations participated, including the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, Henderson County Chamber of Commerce, BeLoved Asheville, Land of the Sky Association of Realtors, ASID Carolinas, AIA Asheville, and Mortgage Bankers Association of Western NC.
Christie’s Lighting Gallery hosted the event, which featured food from Wally’s Backyard BBQ and ice cream sandwiches from Sunshine Sammies.
So many of our members have been working tirelessly to support our communities and the rest of Western North Carolina. It was great to see familiar faces, share our experiences, and talk about finding solutions to the challenges we face after the storm.
