We couldn’t have asked for better weather last Thursday for our Annual AHBA Golf Tournament presented by Jennings Builders Supply & Hardware at Black Mountain Golf Club.

With 32 teams and a sponsor on every hole, it was hard not to have a good time. From BBQ sundaes, bratwursts, wings, hot dogs, pizza and more, if you didn’t win or leave with a prize, then you certainly left with a full belly, sunburn and some good laughs. We sold more Poker Run hands than ever before. Brian Sineath was the lucky winner of $150 cash prize for best hand. The proceeds, $920, went to the Green Opportunities. Thank you to those that participated to raise money for this great organization.
From Mulligan Prize Winners to Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive, there were many opportunities to win! The AHBA gave away some AHBA sport polo shirts, AHBA hats, AHBA water bottles and tickets to an Asheville Tourist game, which we have a block reserved for on July 19 (Join us & get your tickets here!). Ferguson gave away a new faucet, Carolina Closet a $50 gift card, ProSource gave away a Yeti Cooler, First Citizens Bank gave away two gift cards, Jennings a grill and Able Rent a Jon gave away a few amazing prizes including a $400 gift card.
Each team was flighted by handicap and the winner of each flight won a cash prize of $200. This year’s winners were 84 Lumber and GBS Building Supply. Congratulations again to all our winners.
