We were excited to come together on January 25th, 2024 at The Main Event in Hendersonville for the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains 2024 Annual Meeting. Our new Board of Directors was inducted for the year, and we enjoyed Hors D’oeuvre from the Mini Batch Bakery. Over 130 members came out to meet table top vendors, network, enjoy our keynote speaker Denise Ryan, and enjoy a good time.
Folks started showing up around 5:30PM, but heavy rains had some people arriving a bit later. Guest visited table top sponsors from the building industry including: 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, ActionCOACH, Flooring America WNC, HomeSource Design Center, Inc., Laurel Windows, LLC, U.S. Architectural Millwork, LLC, WNC – FCI Floors and WNC Chimney Solutions.
The presentation started around 6:30PM with our Executive Officer Megan Carroll welcoming everyone to the event. Then 2024 NCHBA Past-President Brandon Bryant (Red Tree Builders) inducted our 2024 President Jay Cope (Semper Fi Custom Remodeling) and the 2024 Board of Directors. Then Megan shared more about membership, and encouraged folks to come out to committee meetings.
This year’s Keynote Speaker Denise Ryan was next and had everyone out of their seats. Her presentation centered around helping members think in new ways for both work and life. Some of the topics covered: How to be Innovative (several ideas you can use immediately), Breaking Down Barriers to Innovation, and Myths About Innovation. This results in some fun games and members winning prizes.
