Do you have a passion for affordable housing? Do you like new adventures? Are you interested in doing a year of service? AmeriCorps may be for you! Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity is seeking 6 AmeriCorps members for a year-long service opportunity beginning in August 2019. Members will receive a living allowance and other benefits.
AmeriCorps members play an important role in providing leadership on Habitat’s project sites, engaging volunteers to become champions for the mission, and creating new tools and systems to build capacity. During a year of service with Asheville Habitat, members gain insight into a non-profit organization and receive hands-on experience in leadership, team building, public speaking, and community development. In off-hours, AmeriCorps members often hike and bike the mountains of western North Carolina, or paddle the variety of rivers located in the southeastern part of the United States. And they enjoy Asheville’s thriving music scene. Join the Asheville Habitat family and help provide affordable housing in Asheville and Buncombe County! To learn more about the positions, click here.
