Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity is seeking 5 AmeriCorps members for a year-long service opportunity beginning in August 2018. Members will receive a living allowance and other benefits.
There are four openings for AmeriCorps Construction Crew Leaders who will be an integral part of Habitat’s new home construction and home repair programs. Position includes hands on construction tasks such as demolition, site prep, framing, insulation, drywall, flooring, roofing, finish carpentry, landscaping, and more. The AmeriCorps Volunteer Services Coordinator will develop a strategic Home Repair volunteer program to increase the number of volunteers participating in this program, as well collect, input and analyze volunteer data with the purpose of developing better recruitment and retention strategies.
For both positions, members must possess a sincere desire to serve others, have a passion for volunteerism and teaching/group facilitation, and have strong team building skills. For complete information and information on how to apply, click here.
