The 2023 BA of the Blue Ridge Mountains Holiday Party was held on Thursday, December 14 returning to the Highland Brewing Event Center! Over 200 guests showed up donning their best Barbie or Oppenheimer outfits to fit the Barbenheimer theme. Folks really came to party, and a great night was had by all.
This year’s event was sponsored by Builders FirstSource! The incredible food from Root Down was sponsored by Cason and the delicious desserts from Mini Batch Bakery were sponsored by Express Gutters. The beverages poured by the amazing Highland staff were sponsored by White Insurance Agency including the small batch West Coast Pale Ale released for our party. The ZimZoom Photobooth was sponsored by 84 Lumber and the DJ – DJ Roman – was sponsored by Sherwin-Williams. Thank you all for your support!
The 2023 Board members were recognized for their hard work and dedication over the past year along with Foundation Club sponsors who make our events amazing throughout the year as well as our 2023 Annual Award winners.
With our Reverse Raffle sponsored by cLearn, Math Insurance, Grove Manor Flooring, and Laurel Windows; anyone attending could win amazing prizes. Prizes included: beer from Wicked Weed, Gift Cards Owl Bakery, local business gift cards, and batatit from habitat.
Money was also raised for the NC Build PAC by raffling off a few specialty items -like a Paddle board, golf at Pebble Beach, Projector and screen, waterproof speakers, bourbon, and East Fork Pottery.
Guests were encouraged to bring new toys to donate to the Toys for Tots Campaign. It is always a pleasure to work with this wonderful organization that is able to play Santa to children in need.
The Costume Contest had a great show out. We had a tie for the top with two separate Barbie & Ken Couples!
