On a year-to-date basis, total permits over the past 12 months ending in October 2018 are up by 8.0% across the state of North Carolina to 58,385. Single-family permits are up by 4.4% to 41,478 and multifamily permits are up by 18.0% to 16,907.
In Asheville, NC, total permits year-to-date are up by 7.4% to 2,140. Single-family permits are up by 3.4% to 1,573 and multifamily permits are up by 20.4% to 567.
