Kicking off its first year of competition, the AHBA’s March Madness Bracket Scholarship Challenge was introduced to grow awareness as well as support the AHBA Scholarship Program. This new challenge welcomed 23 participants each making a $10 contribution per bracket raising $290.
All proceeds this year will go directly into the AHBA Scholarship Fund for ongoing support and future growth of this annual program. Both members of the AHBA and community members took part in this fun and friendly competition. AHBA Member, Robi Eckley of Osada Construction, LLC walked away with first year bragging rights winning the challenge with score of 133. The bracket, operated through CBS Sports online, allowed participants to see real time results and current standings throughout March Madness.
To-date, the AHBA awards up to $3,000 per year to selected recipients studying in a construction related field. Applications are accepted from March 1 to April 30. If you know anyone eligible to apply, please spread the word and learn more here.
