Enter the world of construction prepared with several Nationally Recognized Credentials. Beginning April 17, AB Tech is offering a new Construction Course using the NCCER core curriculum which will provide several certifications and training for entering the construction industry. The construction industry offers a variety of career opportunities from skilled craftspersons to supervisors to business owners. Students who attend this class will gain the skills and certifications necessary to obtain work with contracting companies as entry-level employees. This 96-hour class includes OHSA 10 in Construction Safety, First Aid/CPR, Forklift Safety and Operation and the NCCER Core Curriculum Certification. The NCCER Curriculum introduces students to construction math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, rigging, material handling and techniques to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
