That might make good TV, but it doesn’t help the environment or our community. Instead, contact Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity. Their Deconstruction team can gently extract reusable building materials prior to demolition or remodeling. Salvaged building materials and supplies like kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances, bathroom vanities, windows, doors, and flooring are sold to the public at the ReStore at 31 Meadow Road and proceeds help Habitat build and repair homes in our community.
Divert usable material from our local landfills and give your unwanted items a second lease on life. And if you itemize on your tax return, you can deduct your donations. Win-Win-Win!
