In February’s edition of Nuts & Bolts, we will learn about Hilary Paradise. Hilary Paradise is a Realtor for Town and Mountain Realty. She has been with Town and Mountain Realty for 6 Months and after working with everybody in the construction community I thought it (the AHBA) would be a good fit. Hilary serves on the AHBA Membership Committee and the Parade of Homes Committee. The Membership Committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and the Parade of Homes Committee meets on the 1st Thursday of every month.
– Being a member of the Asheville Home Builders Association provides me with opportunity to: Socialize and make connections. Everybody has been so kind since I joined in 2005, I’ve seen several changes and I’m always learning something new.
– What piece of advice do you wish you would have been told earlier in life? Save more of the money you earn. You might really need it later.
-When you get “away”, where is away? These days it’s any place outdoors. I love hiking in the mountains and finding a waterfall to sit by or going with friends to paddle on a local river.
– People would be surprised to know…
That I actually really like Country Music. I was raised listening to all types of music, but my dad used to say “make sure you can understand the words”. I kind of keep that under wraps though. Guess I’m a closet Country music fan.
– As a kid, I wanted to be: Mary Poppins. I really liked that idea of soaring through the air holding an umbrella.
