IBS a Great Week for NCHBA

Many members from NCHBA took home awards and honors at the International Builders Show last week in Las Vegas, NV. We’ve posted several photos to our NCHBA Facebook Page. We’d like to thank everyone who attended last week.

In no particular order…
Rick Judson completed his year as NAHB Chairman and was elected Immediate Past Chairman
Kathy Craven Snodgrass was re-elected to the 2nd year of her two-year term as NAHB National Associate Chairman
Tim Minton completed his term as NAHB EOC Chairman in 2013 and was presented the NAHB Eagle for his service.
It was announced that David Pressly will be inducted into the NAHB Fall of Fame this year at Spring Board.
Jerry Cowan of Builders Mutual Insurance Co. was named NAHB Associate of the Year
Gilbert Stroud, a member of the Craven-Pamlico Cos. HBA, was named one of six BEAM (Builders Engaging Associate Members) national finalists.
Mark Stewart, a member of the Moore County HBA, was named Certified Green Profesional of Year
Operation Coming Home (OCH) won a GOLD Award at The Nationals for Best Industry Community Spirit. OCH is an effort of the HBA of Raleigh-Wake Co. and US Veterans Corps to build homes for injured veterans in the Triangle.
Linda Bowling, Rob Jamison & Peter Winkler of Homes by Dickerson in Raleigh won a Silver Award at The Nationals for Sales Team of the Year
Ashley Rain of M/I Homes in Raleigh won a Silver Award at The Nationals for Sales Manager of the Year
Triangle Sales & Marketing Council won a Silver Award at The Nationals for Best SMC of the Year
Huber Engineered Wood in Charlotte won a Silver Award for Best Promotion by a Supplier at The Nationals for its “Zip It Tight Faster” campaign
Eastwood Homes of Charlotte won a Silver Award for Best Industry Community Spirit at The Nationals for its Charity Golf Tournament
Toll Brothers/Possibilities for Design won a Silver Award for Best Interior Merchandising of a Model greater than 5,000 sq. ft. for Bromley Estates in Wedding, NC at The Nationals
Paradise Found Construction of Cary won the NAHB Green Project of the Year: Remodel for Preserving Our Environmental Heritage in Heritage Hills, Cary, NC.
Living Stone Construction’s Bertsch-Furimsky Renovation won a GOLD Award for Entire Home Renovation $250,001 and Over at Best In American Living Awards (BALA). Living Stone is a member of the Asheville HBA.
The following completed their service on the NAHB Executive Committee: Rick Judson (NAHB Chairman),Tim Minton (EOC Chairman), Gary Hill (Single Family Production Committee), Bill Daleure (Land Development Committee), Erik Anderson (Education Committee)
