Maria has been a long time member, and has seen lots of changes and developments in our industry. This year she has received the Affiliate of the Year award for being such an active and valuable member of our community.
Besides volunteering at almost every event, Maria dedicates her time to Social Committee, and trying to get the Professional Women in Building back up and running! One day she will get us to have a paintball tournament. To say we appreciate everything Maria brings to the table is an understatement, and we were very proud to recognize her hard work with the 2022 Affiliate of the Year Award! Get to know Maria below!
What’s your favorite thing about being a member?
My favorite thing about being a member is how I have truly advanced my own personal career by being an active HBA member.
What’s your favorite event from the HBA?
The cornhole tournament has been my past favorite event. Although the casino was definitely the most fun event we’ve had in a long time!
What’s so special about the Building Community in WNC?
The most special thing about the building community in this area is how close knit we are. So many of my close friends are in the building community….seriously, I met my husband Mark through mutual HBA friends!
