Step inside 5 different entry-level construction positions that can help you to determine your career path into a skilled trades profession. During your 10 months of training, you will gain new construction experience in the Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Industrial Construction, and Department of Transportation divisions within MB Haynes Corporation. You will spend 2 months in each trade learning all aspects of these positions to help you determine your career path in the skilled trades world. At the end of the 10 months, evaluations will be made to help you decide on which career path would be the best fit for your skills in order to further your career with the MB Haynes family. Entry-level construction helpers perform a variety of tasks tailored to each trade. Some duties include, but are not limited to; Operation and care for construction equipment and machines; assist Electricians to install and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment; assist Plumbers to assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures; assist HVAC installers in the installation of residential and commercial HVAC equipment, duct systems, fittings, grilles/registers/diffusers, controls, and related equipment; assist in the DOT division for traffic control set up, trenching and placement of underground conduits and junction boxes; assist in the Industrial Construction Division securing components together to ensure accurate welds, along with laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, maintaining piping and piping systems, and other duties as assigned.
