When you get away, where is away?
MB: Outside in nature, snowboarding, hiking, breathing fresh air in wide open spaces. I think it’s meditative for me to get away from civilization once a week. I’m usually refreshed for a new week Monday morning.
Being a member of the Asheville Home Builders Association provides me the opportunity to:
MB: Meet and connect with a large number of other professionals in the industry that I would not be able to do without the AHBA. The social events allow me to grow a more casual and friendly relationship with these people.I think it makes it easier to work with each other on a business level when it’s time for that.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
MB: Cleaning the toilet has got to be up there
Two truths and a lie – Name 3 things the AHBA group may not know about you, of which only two are true.
MB: I’m a faithful Buccaneers fan
I play guitar
I’m 50% Spanish
What is your ‘go to’ song choice for karaoke?
MB: I don’t do Karaoke but I would go with a catchy sing along song like Violent Femmes Blister in the Sun. Maybe everyone else in the room would sing along and drown me out.
What motivates you every day?
MB: The potential of this great business model and the desire to see it continue to improve and prosper. And getting “away” on the weekends.
