NAHB Recognizes Top Green Construction Projects

NAHB announced the winners of its Best in Green Awards at an awards ceremony held at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas on January 21, 2015.

For the first time, the green awards were incorporated into many of NAHB’s other award programs, including the Best in American Living Awards, The Nationals, the 50+ Housing Awards and others. Winners of any green or sustainable award in any of these other programs were automatically entered into contention.

“This year’s group of winners truly represents the best of environmentally friendly building and remodeling,” said NAHB Chairman Kevin Kelly. “Not only are these homes beautifully designed, but they also take green building to the next level by using the most resource efficient and innovative sustainable building practices available.”

This year’s winners included:

Best in Green 50+ Home or Community: Skylar at Playa Vista, California

Best in Green Single-Family Production Home: The ArtiZEN Plan, Colorado
