The 2nd Annual AHBA Sporting Clays Tournament presented by Builders First Source and GAF at the Biltmore Sporting Clays Club doubled in size this year! The first day of spring provided nice weather for 21 teams, volunteers, and sponsors to make new connections and spend time with old friends. The competition was fierce, but Wright Family Custom Homes won the team category in both rounds. One team, the Rat Pack, made up of individuals that signed up for the event, said they will be back next year after spending the morning together. Other teams had more time to get to know one another outside of their typical workday.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch of beer cheese soup and an assortment of pizzas from The Wood Fired Oven.
The Government Affairs Committee sold mulligans to shooters to help support NC BuildPac. Blossman Gas & Appliance donated a Planch Outdoor Gas Griddle for the mulligan drawing, giving shooters an opportunity to win something for supporting pro-housing candidates. Congratulations to Neal Hanks who was the big winner. This event raised over $800 in BuildPac funds!

Afternoon Round Winners: Team: Wright Family Custom Homes with a score of 335 Individual: There was a tie. Robert Bell and Rick Lopes both shot a 90 Losing team that won lessons for 4 at the Biltmore: Ferguson Enterprises
There was also a raffle for door prizes, which were donated by Jennings Building Supply, Orvis, Troy and Sons/Asheville Distilling Company, and On Target. Congratulations to all our door prize winners!
