Parade of Home award-winning artisan contracting firm WSM Craft is seeking a crew carpenter to work with project manager on site to complete remodels and new home constructions. Responsibilities include:
- Be prepared to work in the field and at 1-2 jobs each day
- Remodeling Carpentry: retro-framing, trim, cabinetry installation, drywall repair, siding repair, etc
- Maintain personal tool arsenal
- Work closely with project leads and subs
- Maintain field notes for all projects
- Solve problems in a creative and efficient manner
- Maintain and execute an ongoing punch list for projects
- Maintain composure in critical situations and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, and subcontractors
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction industry
- 3-5 years experience and/or equivalent combination of vocational training or field experience
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Time management skills and organizational skills
- Ability to meet critical deadlines and be on time
- Have reliable transportation, preferably a truck
- Function effectively as part of a team and coordinate scope of work between trades
- Ability maintain high quality and attention to detail in a fast-paced, interactive environment
- Ability to work across organizational boundaries and ambiguity to define, manage, and prioritize work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience reading blueprints
- Exposure to myriad construction materials
- Experience in Production-Manufacturing-Mechanical setting
- Technical or higher education
- Commitment to the construction industry; desire to grow and expand your knowledge and skills
