WSM Craft is seeking an organized team player with a positive attitude to work as a Business Manager with their amazing residential artisan contractor and custom wood shop teams. This position handles bookkeeping, insurance, vendors, labor tracking and coding, and office administrative tasks, and is a keystone position in our company. They are looking for a fantastic fit. This is a full-time position that reports to the President.
- Develop and manages the production of an annual budget and tracks performance
- Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Payroll and Construction Bookkeeping
- Proficiency in BuilderTrend and Quickbooks (Desktop and Online)
- Retain records in organized and systematized way
- Payroll entry, including calculation and entering of insurance and other adjustments
- Monthly financial statements to be reviewed by President by the 20th of the month following each month end
- Performs monthly bank account reconciliations
- Reviews and reconciles all general ledger entries
- Reconciles inventories and works with personnel to ensure accuracy
- Maintains a system of controls over all accounting transactions
- Maintain payments on quarterly tax payments and insurance
- Works closely with CPA firm on year end audit
- Assists management on analysis and implementation as relates to special projects
- Incorporates established procedures for verification, approval and payment of accounts payable
- Routinely works with President and Operations Manager to keep them apprised of sales and operational trends which may present opportunities or concerns that need to be addressed
- Tracks Construction-In-Progress and Capital Expenditures and provides monthly reports
- Provide training and support for Project Managers working on budgets and change orders
- Work closely with managers and President to track project expenses
- Work with HR to know tax and accounting law associated with employee costs and benefits
- Performs other job-related duties as required

Office Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain system for handling subcontractor insurance and licenses
- Develop and maintain organizational procedures and systems for office personnel, including filing, billing, accounts payable, payroll and scheduling
- Provide support and assistance to employees as needed with office systems and computers
- Handle and distribute incoming mail and materials
- Coordinate with tech and other office support as needed
- Provide support for employee meetings, trainings and events as requested
- Order supplies and equipment as needed
- Establish a team atmosphere through leadership and employee support
Experience:
- Accounting degree preferred
- Must have at least 5 years past bookkeeping experience in construction or similar industry managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be very organized and make sense of multiple pieces of multiple puzzles
- Have a finger on the pulse of all projects by coordinating with Operations and Project Managers, President and Subs
- BuilderTrend: 2 years (Preferred)
- Bookeeping: more than 5 years (Required)
- Office Management: 5 years (Required)
